The Hidden Curse of 11th house. (Psychological and Physical problems).
You may already know from astrology that combinations like Saturn – Moon (Vish Yoga) can create depression and emotional heaviness, and Moon with Ketu increases anxiety and detachment. Whenever the Moon representing the mind, or mann is impacted by malefic planets, the emotional body suffers. But beyond these well-known yogas, there are other combinations that are far more problematic yet rarely discussed. One of them is the connection between the Lagna or Lagna Lord and the 11th house.
I have seen many people with this combination chasing government dreams like – IAS, IPS, UPSC – and wasting their entire youth on something that was never aligned with their true path. This combination often gives a person false hope or false illusions about achieving something big. Also Many a time its not just related to career but makes the person desire something which ends up causing more troubles. While it is also considered a Dhan Yoga and can give success if other combination also supports it, but it can just as easily create emotional instability and even health troubles.
The reason lies in the nature of the 11th house. It is an Upachaya house, which means it improves with time. But the deeper meaning of “Upachaya” is that only what is flawed can be improved. The 11th house is the house of desire, and desire by itself is never complete. When desires grow excessively, they create illusions about oneself, unrealistic expectations, and ultimately disappointment. Unfulfilled desire is one of the main causes of sadness. This is why the 11th house, though called the house of gains, also carries a difficult side that many people overlook.
Using the concept of Bhavat Bhavam, the 11th house becomes even more sensitive. The 6th house represents problems and diseases. The 6th from the 6th house is the 11th, which means it becomes a house of major or chronic problems. While a connection between the 6th and 11th can give the ability to overcome obstacles and achieve something big, it can also bring long-lasting difficulties. Many chronic health issues originate from the 11th house. Deepanshu Sir has also discussed how the 11th lord connecting with Lagna, or the 11th lord going to difficult houses, or even the A11 pada falling in Trik Bhavas, can create chronic diseases.
This is why many people with this combination spend years chasing dreams or desire something which can cause troubles later, losing valuable time in their youth when they could have built a stable career in a different path, or could have prevented others problems emerging from desires. Their desire becomes stronger than reality. According to Vedic philosophy, every problem begins as a thought. When Lagna connects with the 11th house, the person becomes driven by desires to the point that they may act in ways they later regret. They may even put their ambitions above the emotions of others, which creates further conflict in relationships. Over time, this leads to regret, resentment, and emotional scars. These unresolved emotional wounds eventually take the form of depression and later manifest as chronic diseases in the body.

Example-1
Here in this chart the native is although working in education sector, but chasing government jobs relentlessly, as if that is something which will improve his life, many a time lagna and 10th lord connection with 6th house makes the person chase government jobs, but whether one would get it depends of the quality of his preparation and dasha, 5th lord with 8th lord indicating that native only studies before exams, also as it is going in 12th navamsha, indicating, cant focus on studies for a long time, where Saturn being the ganatikaraka, also indicating that the native would only stay disciplined during deadlines or under responsibility or pressure. So here the preparation itself is not that up to mark, nither the dasha was supporting. Which is leading to depression, also would start giving suicidal thoughts during Jupiter, venus upcoming dasha, so here his desires are giving all this troubles.

As you see in this chart, the lagna is in the 11th house with Mars and mercury, which means the desire is now connected with partner, position in life, also another lagna lord rahu is with venus.
Now 7th lord with Saturn mercury shows problems in marriage, partner will also have anger issues, will be of complaining nature, but this native will also be lusty in nature, this is also a combination of cheating, here the person got into a extramarital affair and got very attached to the 3rd person which let to divorce, the native is also now suffering from nerve related issues, which is not treatable, as the lagna is with mercury. Also after the divorce, the native’s affair also broke, and he ended up alone, causing great depression.

This is another chart, here the ARUDHA PADA is falling in 11th house, and also if you look at D9, the lagna is in 11th navamsha, also 11th lord in lagna navamsha, the person tries to control other, in family, he used to do very well, in his family business, with this brother, as the 10th lord is also with 11th lord working with ender siblings, but as you also see there is mars rahu in 2nd house and lagna connecting with 11th lord, making his attitude towards other not very good, with a very harsh speech, he also started controlling his elder brother, dominating him at workplace, this lead to dispute in the family, and he ended up loosing the opportunity to work with his elder siblings, this started the downfall in his professional life, not only that, it also started causing all the health problems related to obesity, and heart problems too.
So as you see a simple desire to control the brother who was actually founder of the business, causes him to loose, a lot.
