The Lunar Connection: Exploring the Phases of the Moon and their Potential Influence on Menstrual Disorder (Perspective of Medical Astrology with Medical Science)

In astrology, the planet Moon and its lunar cycle play an important role in our mental and physical health. The moon is considered one of the most influential celestial bodies and is associated with emotions, intuition, subconsciousness, and feminine energy. It is linked to the mother archetype and represents nurturing, nourishment, and fertility in Vedic astrology.

Lunar Cycle- Effects of Moon in Astrology

The lunar cycle, with its phases ranging from the new moon to the full moon and back to the new moon, is often connected to the ebb and flow of emotional energy and the cyclical nature of life. Each phase of the moon is believed to have its own unique energy and influences. In this article, we will see how the Planet Moon is connected with the menstrual cycle, hormonal changes, puberty, fertility and reproductive system.

Planet Moon in Medical Astrology

In medical astrology, the planet Moon is associated with various aspects of our health and well-being. Its position in the birth chart can provide insights into our overall health patterns and tendencies. A person with a strong and well-aspected Moon may have a strong immune system, good emotional resilience, and a natural inclination towards self-care and healing practices.

However, an afflicted or poorly-aspected Moon can indicate certain health issues or susceptibilities. For instance, a weak Moon may suggest a tendency towards emotional imbalance, mood swings, and nutritional deficiencies. It can also point to issues related to the reproductive system, menstruation disorders and hormonal imbalances. Medical science also says that nutritional deficiencies and poor emotional health causes problem in the Reproductive system same as in Vedic Astrology.

Planet Moon and Menstrual Cycle in Women

In a female chart, the Moon is closely associated with the menstrual cycle and reproductive health. The Moon’s influence on menstruation disorders is believed to be related to its connection with the body’s hormonal and emotional balance. Its phases have been linked to hormonal changes during menstruation, as the menstrual cycle is regulated by a complex interplay between estrogen, progesterone, and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

In women’s birth chart, first and foremost importance is given to the Moon in respect to check the menstrual cycle, fertility and reproductive organs health. The moon is associated with the uterus and reproductive system, it is indeed associated with blood as the moon’s influence on blood is believed to be connected to its association with water and fluids. As the moon governs tides and influences the ebb and flow of water, it is thought to have a similar effect on the body’s fluids, including blood.

In women’s birth charts, imbalances or afflictions of the moon may be associated with blood-related issues such as anaemia, clotting disorders, circulatory problems, and fluid retention.

Moon’s Combinations and Effects on Women’s Monthly Cycle

  3. Placement of watery signs; Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are in the 6th,8th and 12th house and have an aspect of malefics.
  4. Moon in the axis of Rahu and Ketu (in watery signs) no matter how strong Moon strength will be here, and if this axis comes in 1st/7th house, 2nd/8th house, 5th/11th house then it can give fibroids, cyst, menstrual disorders, PCOD/PCOS.
