1. Planet/Planets posited in the 10th house.
2. 10th lord.
3. Lord of Navamsha, occupied by the Lord.
4. Lagna is the Lord of Dasamsha.

 

The strongest planet gives the final results. If there is more than one strong planet, then there will be a blending of influences from all such planets, and even more than one profession may be adopted.
