Ketu being the natural Eight lord – represents ones roots, and past life experiences which has been completed or in the process of completion in this life. In Jaimini Sutram , Jaimini Rishi mentions – Ketu aspecting / conjoining Swamsa results in a perforation of the ear drums or other eat ailments.
The Sloka mentions about ears but the meaning is not at all connected with the ears. Ears are the body part through which we are able to hear different sounds and eventually generate different thoughts. When Ketu goes in the Navansh Lagna or with the Atmakaraka – Whatever one hears does not go in the head and the native does not react to how other’s want them to.
Jaimini Rishi Mentions problems with hearing – which shows that one will not be able to adjust to the society and listen to what other’s are telling as the native himself is in a very different level and will not compete or indulge with people who are not of the same frequency as the native himself. That is why such people are not accepted by the society or a lot of times they go into isolation and do research work which transforms the beliefs (Effecting the Hearing) of other people.
When you are deaf to everyone around you or do not react , you eventually people an outcaste which is the work of Ketu, to detach you from all attachments either through experiencing the same or complete removal – so that you eventually become liberated from all bonding’s – Material or Physical and eventually move onto Spirituality.

When Ketu is afflicted you will see people moving their legs constantly or fidgeting with them, put all body weight on one leg instead of two, have disturbed sleep pattern as well as face car/sea sickness in long drives.
One is unable to set goals and build a foundation for themselves in such cases as their ears (Balance) are not functioning properly due to which they are unable to walk (Feet) in a steady way – which eventually results in such disbalanced actions in daily life.
Throughout the Symbolism of Ketu as well – you can see that the five senses of Ganesh Ji are working at a very different level along with the very Prominent Ears. Ketu being Prominent also results in the ability to move one’s ears as the energy of Body parts ruled by Ketu would be higher than normal.
Please note that Swamsa is referred in Jaimini Sutram solely for Navansh – Either with the Navansh Lagna and/or with the Atmakaraka in the Navansh. Whenever their is such a connection – the life pattern of such people become very different from other’s close to them as now their own past life roots are originating from another realm.
One of the most prominent remedies of Ketu is to get a Ganesh Ji Idol of the Metal in whichever Rashi Ketu is placed and then do the Puja thereafter.

Ketu in Tauraus Rashi in Navmansh lagna. Very few friends because of mindset issue, and not very close to them. At workplace also I sit alone ,no interaction with colleagues as I’m unable to involve myself in their conversation. Sir ,I’m psoriasis patient does this placement can cause psoriatic arthritis.

Ears represent ketu , so true , since my ketu mahadsha started I have purchased 7 earphones only to listen music and bhajan
Although I was living with kids but there was no bonding with them
I used to cry that time a lot for this detachment

In my chart ketu is with atmakarka Sun in 3rd house in cancer rashi and sun is in lagna in D9 in pisces rashi.I think this rule is applicable there.
