The Power of Purpose: A Transformational Consultation

Hello, I am Lacode5031, and today I want to share a deeply inspiring experience that reaffirmed my faith in astrology, the wisdom of our Guru, and the transformative power of understanding one’s true life purpose.

We often receive consultations where people ask common yet pressing questions“When will I get a job?”, “When will I get married?”, “Will I ever be financially stable?” These are valid concerns, and astrology provides incredible insights into these aspects of life. But today was different. Today, I had a consultation that went beyond material concerns—it touched the very essence of human existence.

A young man approached me with a question that was not about wealth, marriage, or career stability. Instead, he asked:

“What is my purpose? Why was I born? What is the reason for my existence?”

This question struck me deeply. It was not just about fate but about destiny—not just about what will happen, but why it must happen. This was not someone merely seeking answers; this was someone seeking meaning.

Understanding the Soul’s Journey

In Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS), Maharishi Parashara teaches that to understand one’s soul’s purpose, we must examine the Atmakaraka—the planet that represents our deepest karmic mission. However, one of the most profound teachings I have ever received was from Deepanshu Sir when he taught us about the 14 Lokas (realms of existence).

He explained that each soul originates from a specific Loka, carrying its past karmas and lessons into this lifetime. By analyzing both the Atmakaraka and the Loka connection, we can unlock a powerful understanding of why a person is here on Earth and what they must fulfill.

So, I decided to combine these two techniques and dive deep into this young man’s chart.

The Revelation in His Chart

As I examined his horoscope, I found Mercury to be his Atmakaraka, placed in Capricorn in the 4th house, while its lord Saturn was exalted in Libra in the Ascendant. His 10th house of karma was ruled by Cancer.

Suddenly, it all became crystal clear.

  • Capricorn represents karma and discipline—the path one must walk.
  • The 4th house governs public service—his duty was to serve people.
  • Mercury rules communication and intellect—his purpose was to use his mind, words, and skills to uplift others.
  • Saturn in Libra shows unfulfilled karmic responsibilities toward society, demanding balance and justice.

From what I had learned in Predictive Astrology Part 11, this indicated that his true purpose was to serve humanity using his intelligence, communication, and skills. But the most fascinating aspect was Mercury’s connection to children, revealing that his service would involve helping young lives—perhaps through education, counseling, or running an NGO.

Confirming the Prediction

When I shared these insights with him, he paused, took a deep breath, and then said something that gave me chills:

“Yes, this is exactly what I do. For years, I have been working with orphaned children, donating to NGOs, and ensuring that underprivileged kids have access to food and education. I have never felt drawn to material success, but I feel a deep sense of peace when I help these children. It’s as if my soul finds fulfillment in their smiles.”

He then added something even more incredible—his organization had recently started working with the transgender community, providing shelter and education to those in need. This aligned perfectly with Saturn in Libra, which represents justice for marginalized communities.

The Lesson from This Experience

This moment was more than just a successful prediction. It was a reminder that astrology is not just about forecasting the future—it is about uncovering the deeper purpose of life itself.

When we, as astrologers, are able to provide someone with a meaningful direction, when we can confirm the unspoken truths that someone already feels in their heart, the value of astrology goes beyond mere prediction—it becomes a guiding light.

This consultation left me with a renewed sense of gratitude—gratitude for my Guru, Deepanshu Sir, for sharing these divine techniques, gratitude for astrology as a sacred science, and gratitude for the opportunity to help people find their soul’s true calling.

When we truly understand astrology, it ceases to be just a tool for predictions—it becomes a pathway to self-realization. And that, I believe, is the most powerful gift we can offer the world.

I have been seeking exactly the same i.e. What’s the purpose of my birth ? I have Mercury as Atmakaraka in 8th house in Aquarius sign, dispositor Saturn in 10th house with Jupiter, Rahu & Moon in lagna. In D9 as well Mercury goes in the 10th Navansh so I know it’s something prominent but unable to understand by myself.

P.S. – I’m 25 with no career and extremely confused in life.
