Why Transits and Dasha Changes Should Never Be Ignored

Some time ago, during a consultation, I spoke with a person whose query was that he had a fear of falling ill. Now, for an astrologer, this becomes a challenge — when nothing appears wrong in the chart, but the individual still feels something is wrong.

Still, I analyzed his chart. In such cases, we often examine whether the ascendant is weak or if the ascendant lord is afflicted. In his chart, he had a Leo Lagna. The Lagna lord Sun was sitting in the 12th house. Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Ketu were placed in the Lagna. So, the ascendant was afflicted, but not so much that the person should feel constant fear.

Mars in the ascendant usually gives courage — because Mars is a brave planet. That’s why I understood the problem wasn’t originating from the Lagna.

Transits and the Mind: Learning from Predictive Astrology Part One by Deepanshu Giri

As an astrologer, I remembered what Deepanshu Sir was taught in a lecture from Predictive Astrology Part One  — that transits control your thoughts. So, I examined the planetary transits along with his chart.

At that time:

  • Jupiter was in Gemini
  • Saturn was in Pisces
  • Ketu was in Leo
  • Rahu was in Aquarius

Since he was a Leo ascendant, Ketu was transiting his Lagna, Rahu in the 7th house, Jupiter in the 11th, and Saturn in the 8th house. In his birth chart, Saturn was in the 5th house, now transiting through the 8th. Jupiter’s transit in Gemini was through his 11th house. The 5th house represents the stomach and our children.

Connecting Astrology to Real-Life Fears

During the consultation, I asked him, “Are you worried about your child’s health or career?” He answered, “Yes.” That confirmed it — his issues were transit-related.

Because Jupiter was in Gemini, I asked, “Are you facing issues related to your nerves?” He said yes.

Then I asked, “Are you having trouble breathing?” He said yes again.

Finally, I noticed the Moon was in Kemadruma Yoga in the 4th house. I said, “You probably have to do everything by yourself — from communication to managing responsibilities.” He said, “Yes.”

At that moment, I knew this was not a chart problem — this was a transit problem.

The Turning Point: Kedarnath and Ketu’s Spiritual Push

I gave him some simple remedies and told him to visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan.

He said, “Sir, I was already planning to go to Kedarnath.”

That’s when I realized: Ketu transiting through his Lagna was spiritually guiding him to the temple. He eventually went, and after returning, his condition significantly improved.

Why Transits and Dasha Changes Should Never Be Ignored

That’s why, whenever Dasha changes or Gochar shifts, it’s important to understand what they are demanding from you. If you fulfill what the planets ask of you during their time, that period passes peacefully. If not, it creates distress.
