The Silent Echo of Mars: A Story of Fear, Family, and Spiritual Awakening

A few days ago, during a consultation focused on pending karmas, I met a person who carried a very unique concern. Their life had become a series of repeating patterns. For them, the greatest confusion was this: “If responsibility and repetition are my karmas, then surely Mars should be afflicted in my chart?” This was the question that opened the door to their inner world.

When I opened their horoscope, the picture unfolded beautifully yet sharply. Mars was placed with the Sun in Pisces, functioning as the 3rd lord of efforts and siblings, and the 8th lord of past karmas and hidden burdens. In the Dwadashamsha chart, Mars was rising in the lagna (Taurus)—a strong indicator of karmas rooted in family lineage. The 9th house in D-12, which represents the father’s family line, was prominently activated, showing heavy ancestral influence.

To validate, I asked them about recent events, and they confirmed that their mother had been diagnosed with cancer this year. This aligned perfectly with the chart, and I already knew where the problem was hidden and what remedies would help. But my principle is always not to stop at the surface. Astrology becomes truly meaningful only when we dive into the root cause of karma.

As we spoke, I felt a sudden intuitive nudge and asked, “Has there been intense devotion to Lord Narsingh in your family?” The client paused, surprised, and replied, “Yes, absolutely. In fact, we worship Lord Narsingh at home, and I myself am a devotee.” That was the turning point. The chart had whispered its secret. The person’s karmic struggles were directly tied to the Muladhara Chakra, the energy center represented by Mars.

I explained to them, “In your past lives, you faced betrayal in partnerships. You placed your trust and resources, but they were misused. That pain was never healed, and now it lives in you as fear. This fear stops you from starting new things, from taking risks, from moving forward. It is the silent root of your troubles.” They listened quietly, almost as if recognizing a forgotten memory.

Muladhara Chakra governs stability, survival, and courage. When Mars, its planet, is disturbed, the symptoms appear both physically and emotionally—chronic back pain, spinal discomfort, laziness or inertia, and constant hesitation before beginning new ventures. In their case, Mars also symbolized elder siblings, which explained why responsibilities connected to their brother kept repeating like an unending cycle.

But there was a deeper layer—genetics. I gently asked, “Did your father often worry excessively about family expenses?” They nodded immediately: “Yes, my father always panics about household costs.
