There are several ways of seeing the events of one’s life. Our Rishis have given us different types of Dashas be it the Nakshatra Dashas such as Vimshottari Dasha, Rashi Dashas such as Chara Dasha or even Progressions.
Among the several Progression techniques, one of the ways is to look at the life events is from Jupiter and Using the Transit of Jupiter over different Houses and Predicting the events. This is one of the Techniques mentioned in Nadi Jyotish as well – you can find the same reference in Bhrigu Nandi Nadi where the Cycles(Rounds) of Jupiter has been mentioned and events have been predicted using the same technique.

Today we will be looking at a case study as to how Jupiter gives different events using Transit – The birth Details are mentioned below along with the Screenshot of the Chart.

This is the Chart Burt Bacharach , one of the most influential person in the Music Industry as he was very well known for his Songs to the extent of winning Awards of the Highest Honor in the late 1900’s.
The Lagan lord and 11th is connected which shows Karam with Large groups and Saturn going in Aquarius 7th house confirms the same. 10th Lord with Benefics , Leo Navansh and Venus’s Dashansh clearly shows a Creative Profession and someone who will leave a Legacy behind as 10th lord eventually goes in the 8th Navansh.

Let us see the life events as per the Transit of Jupiter:

Marriage: One of the first Rules to check Marriages is by seeing then Jupiter Transit of the 7th house, 7th lord , Venus even Trine to these Placements. Secondly you can check if the Dispositor is connected to the house of Marriages.

Note: The same rule can be extended in order to check all other events – you would need to modify the Rules as per the event you are looking for and the look the the Pattern and Transit dates.

The native has had Four Marriages with Dates of Three of then available from the Net – below all the dates are mentioned in Proper Order.

First Marriage: Dec 1953 – Transit Jupiter in Taurus Retro 28 Degrees: Jupiter goes over Trine to the 7th lord Moon and being Retro will also give results of the Previous House where Venus itself is situated in the Chart which Triggered the Marriage. If you look closely even to the Degrees you will realise that Jupiter’s degree is very close to the Degree of the Lagna and the Atmakaraka Sun.

Second Marriage: May 1965 – Transit Jupiter in Taurus 9 Degrees: Again its the Same cycle repeating but this time Jupiter goes over the same degree of the 9th lord of 2nd Marriage and is again in Trine with the 7th lord.

Third Marriage: April 1982 – Transit Jupiter Libra Retrograde 14 Degrees: Jupiter Itself Transits over the Rashi of Marriage in the same Degree as Venus . Here there is no Direct connection with the 11th lord of 3rd Marriage but an indirect one as Jupiter is Retro which will give results from Virgo itself and making an Aspect with 11th lord Mars – however Jupiter being in Libra and in same Degree as Venus is enough to Trigger Marriage.

Award Winning Dates :
Won Double Oscar on April 1970 – Transit Jupiter in Libra retrograde 9 Degrees: Jupiter is over the house of Profession with 10th lord quite well placed with Benefics giving recognition. Jupiter is in the same Degree as the 9th lord and Being Retro Jupiter will also give results of Virgo.`

Won Oscar on March 1982 – Transit Jupiter Retrograde 15 Degrees: Notice that this date and the above third Marriage date is only one month Apart. As Jupiter was exactly over the Degree of Venus who is also the 10th and 5th lord – You can already understand why he won Oscar and Got Married around the same time.

Other Events:
Accident on April 2000 Injuring Shoulder by Falling Down: Transit Jupiter Aries 16 Degrees: Jupiter over Aries with the 3rd and 8th lord in the same House – He got a Shoulder replacement Surgery done as well.

Daughter Passing away due to Suicide – Jan 2007 : Transit Jupiter Scorpio 15 Degrees: Jupiter is going over 2 Malefics without any benefic influence shows Major Troubles of Health and sudden challenges in life. Jupiter from the 11th house aspects the 5th as well which is also heavily afflicted with aspect of Saturn and within Rahu/Ketu axis. Note that Jupiter is almost very near to Ketu.

When using the Transit of Jupiter extend the Rule/s given above and do research on the same to get most clues of the event. Sometimes you will see that the event is visible very easily from the chart and sometimes you will need to look very closely , even into divisional charts to understand the workings of the events. When using the Rules of Transit be aware that you need to check the Combinations of the chart first for any events – such as if a person is not supposed to work at all in their life and no matter how many times Jupiter or Saturn transits the 10th house , still nothing will happen in Profession but the event will manifest differently according to the individual combinations of the chart.
