“I Know I’m Capable—So Why Do I Keep Getting Rejected?” –

Over the past couple of years, during consultations, I have repeatedly encountered people sharing similar problems, such as:

  • I am skilled, but I am unable to convey my qualities when it really matters. As a result, someone less skilled often ends up getting credit for my work.
  • I am good at what I do, but I am unable to secure a good job because my communication skills are not strong. I can’t express my abilities properly during interviews.
  • I try to learn new things and become good at them, but at the time of performance, one problem or another arises, and I end up missing opportunities.

These concerns are shared by many people who, despite being deserving, are unable to achieve what they truly could.

Astrologically, a common combination behind all these issues occurs when the 3rd lord is connected with the 6th, 8th, or 12th houses.

For professional growth, a person needs skills—especially in the current era, where skills often overshadow degrees, certificates, and academic marks. Nowadays, almost everyone is educated and pursuing higher studies, but due to the highly competitive nature of the world and the job market, employers increasingly seek skills and experience over paper qualifications.

However, even after possessing the necessary skills for a job, some individuals find it extremely difficult to secure or crack a good opportunity. This situation often arises when the 3rd lord connects with the 6th, 8th, or 12th house.

In astrology, the 3rd house represents skills, effort, and communication. When it gets connected with the 6th, 8th, or 12th house, a person may struggle either to excel in their skills or to present those skills effectively to others.

When this combination is further influenced by special conditions such as debilitation, exaltation, or other sensitive placements, the challenges can become even more prominent.

Let us take an example below.

Example 1

As seen in this chart, the 3rd lord is debilitated in the 6th house. This native spent nearly three months learning how to drive, yet was still unable to drive properly, as it triggered fear and hesitation.

During the consultation, I also asked whether the native found it difficult to crack interviews. The answer was yes. The native spent almost two years learning English, but still becomes nervous during interviews and is unable to recall the right words while speaking to the interviewer. Due to this lack of effective communication, the native often faces rejection.

In such cases, remedies usually come from the 6th house itself or from the planet associated with it. In this chart, Venus is connected and represents the partner. I therefore asked the native whether the partner had ever helped in securing a job or provided support during an interview.

The native confirmed this and shared that the last job he secured required a fast typing test and an online communication assessment. The partner appeared for these tests on the native’s behalf, which helped him secure the job.

This clearly shows how Venus (the partner) plays a supportive role—helping the native both in acquiring skills more efficiently and in clearing job-related evaluations. In such a situation, remedies can be directed either toward strengthening Mars or strengthening Venus, depending on the requirement, so that the native does not continue to face similar difficulties.

Example -2

In this chart, the Lagna is placed in the 3rd house along with Mars and Mercury, indicating that the native is capable of learning skills quickly when properly taught. However, the 3rd lord placed in the 8th house creates phobias and deep-seated fears. While the 6th house generally causes struggles, the 8th house gives intense and extreme fear.

Because of this placement, the native drives her vehicle very slowly and finds it difficult to learn car driving. Along with this, the native also faces challenges in communication. When writing without pressure, her English communication is fairly good. However, under the pressure of an interview, she becomes anxious, makes mistakes, and is unable to express herself properly. Due to this fear-based communication issue, she has remained in the same job for a long time and has been unable to crack new interviews.

When the Moon gets involved in such communication-related combinations, the person also struggles to express emotions and feelings openly. This creates an inability to say “no” or speak upfront, as fear takes over—fear of being judged, fear of offending others, or fear of how others might perceive them. As a result, such individuals often end up agreeing to others’ requests even when they do not want to. This is another common outcome of the 3rd lord placed in the 8th house.

In this case, remedies related to the 8th house itself are required so that these fears can be reduced or eliminated. Additionally, strengthening the 3rd house will help the native develop skills more confidently and express them more effectively.

People with the 3rd lord placed in the 12th house experience a very different set of challenges. This placement often makes the native hesitant to take initiative altogether. They may not even attempt to apply for an interview, or they may struggle to execute their plans and strategies for the future. In such cases, execution itself becomes the main problem.

While the 3rd lord in the 6th house creates struggles, it is still a workable combination—through consistent effort and hard work, success can be achieved. Similarly, the 3rd lord in the 8th house primarily creates fear and anxiety. However, the 3rd lord in the 12th house tends to create carelessness, avoidance, or a lack of drive to take action.

As a result, even though the native may possess skills and abilities, the absence of initiative prevents them from showcasing these qualities in the professional world. This ultimately deprives them of opportunities and limits their visibility in the market.

For all this combination there will be different remedy, depending on planet, sometime we have to improve the 3rd lord itself, or give strength to the depositor of 3rd lord, the remedial measures will vary depending on each chart.

If you feel like you have these problems in life, and if you know a little astrology, you can surly prepare the remedy for yourself, by either giving strength to the 3rd lord, or its depositor, it would solve your problem.
