Reality of Sutras –Â
Whenever you are reading certain sutras from classical text, always try to read it from the lens of why Rishi would write such a thing in one line, and we end up apply the sutras as it is.
When you realise that the rule is not working, you end up assuming that the sutra either has an exception or it doesn’t work.
That is the biggest mistake one does by letting go off and trying to understand what or how else it is working as then you realise later on that the rishi is not wrong but your way of seeing it is not how it is supposed to be seen or decoded.
I will be taking two shlokas today to make you realise what EXCEPTION is really about and how much practice is required in order to see it differently anf make it work –
The shlok below states that (from Chandrakala Nadi – Dev Keralam) Â –
The above rule clearly states that when Saturn transits over the rasi Sun occupies in Navamsa chart or in trine to that particular navamsa sign occupied by Sun then the native’s father faces physical ailments.
There are two exceptions as FIRSTLY, this will work when Saturn transits in 7th from Sun (sign), and secondly as per Phaladeepika and BPHS – it goes on to write that Sun is significator of father in daybirth (and for uncle in nightbirth) and Saturn is significator of father in night birth (and for uncle in day birth).
The same goes for Moon (significator of mother in night birth) & Venus (significator of mother in day birth) too.
Now many still use the natural karakas which is fine but how will the sutra work effectively when you will not consider this rule while trying to apply it as it is, this rule will still work as it is no doubt as I have still seen troubles but what about the cases of continued troubles to father as after 2.5 years, you will still find that the trouble physically exists, like in one case Sun is in Virgo and Saturn in Libra in D9, and this is night time birth (born after Sunset), so the person has seen physical ailment trouble coming to father when Saturn transited in trine (Aquarius) to Saturn in Libra as that is when trouble began and now it is in Pisces, even though 7th from Sun but still there is trouble continuing.
In another case, daytime birth – Sun in Libra in D9 and Saturn transited in Aquarius, father was diagnosed with 90% heart blockage –Â major ailment.
Another one where, the person has Saturn in Scorpio in D9, nightime birth and Saturn transiting in Pisces, so she sent an email saying father is admitted to hospital due to various health issues.
Another one almost similar case, Saturn in Virgo and Saturn currently transiting in Pisces – night-time birth.
Yes, this needs to be tested more as you will find variations like I found that another layer of exception is when Mars has rasi aspect then the effect is less to none.
The sutra may have been written in 3-4 lines but the depth one needs to go to check each and everything while keeping other exceptions in mind is truly mind-blowing.
Why These Sutras To Even Consider Then?
Because then if you don’t consider divisional charts and apply transits to further confirm an event and simply use rasi chart and dasa to imply, how can one go to the extent of telling whether the issue will manifest in a very major way or not as then accordingly remedial measures are given to overcome the troubles.
Second Sutra – When transit Saturn moves in a sign that is in trines to the navamsa sign occupied by the 6th lord, the native will suffer great difficulties but he will attain to normalcy after performing remedies.
Whenever you are using transit with respect to Navamsa chart, also consider charakarakas as the above rule will work more effectively with respect to Gnatikaraka – if you want to know more, you can refer to Jaimini Sutram Course by Deepanshu sir in order to understand the depth of it.
Example – Rahu being Gnatikaraka in Virgo in D9, and Saturn when was transiting in Capricorn, person faced hellish conditions at workplace, and was stuck like where he can’t leave the job nor be able to do anything about it to make things better as management was continuously pressurizing, as if would have left job, then would have to let go off stock options etc; as a part of the deal.
Please consider other rules and try to apply and see where and how the sutra can work effectively, as Rishi expects you to know the depth of the sutra even before trying to apply it in isolation.
