Mars, Rahu and Saturn Impact on Marriage

In Vedic astrology when we analyse disturbance in marriage, three planets become most sensitive and karmic in nature – Mars, Rahu and Saturn. These three are natural malefics, and when they influence 7th house, 7th lord, Venus, or Navamsha chart, the married life faces delay, aggression, dissatisfaction, separation or karmic suffering. Their impact must always be judged from Lagna chart, Navamsha (D-9), dasha and transit.

First we understand Mars. Mars is planet of fire, ego, blood, passion and dominance. In marriage, Mars represents physical energy and sexual compatibility. But when Mars becomes afflicted or placed in 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, it forms Kuja Dosha. In 7th house Mars gives aggression between husband and wife. In 8th house it creates sexual dissatisfaction and sudden conflicts. In 12th house it reduces bed pleasure and increases anger. If Mars is in fiery rashis like Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, then anger becomes direct and explosive. In watery signs like Cancer or Scorpio, emotional drama and suspicion increases.

In Navamsha chart, if Mars is placed in 6th, 8th or 12th house from Navamsha Lagna, or conjunct Rahu or Saturn in D-9, then marital harmony suffers internally even if D-1 looks normal. Many times marriage looks good in birth chart but breaks after marriage because Navamsha Mars shows hidden aggression.

Now we see Rahu. Rahu is planet of illusion, obsession, unconventional desires and karmic debts from past life. When Rahu influences 7th house or Venus, it creates attraction based on illusion, physical desire or social status. Marriage may happen suddenly or inter-caste, inter-religion or foreign connection. But Rahu does not give satisfaction. In 7th house Rahu gives doubt and mistrust. In 8th house it gives secret affairs. In 12th house it gives hidden addictions. In air signs like Gemini and Aquarius, Rahu increases overthinking and dual relations. In earth signs like Taurus and Capricorn, it creates material greed in marriage.

In Navamsha, Rahu in 7th house is very sensitive. It shows karmic spouse connection but mental dissatisfaction. Rahu with Venus in Navamsha gives strong attraction before marriage but later emotional vacuum. During Rahu dasha, truth of relationship comes out.

Now Saturn. Saturn is planet of delay, karma, suffering and endurance. Saturn does not deny marriage but delays it. When Saturn aspects 7th house or sits in 7th house, marriage happens late or with mature partner. But if Saturn is afflicted, it creates coldness and lack of intimacy. In 8th house it gives long suffering. In 12th house it reduces physical happiness. In rashis like Libra (exaltation) Saturn gives stability after struggle. But in Aries (debilitation) it creates ego clashes and frustration.

In Navamsha chart, Saturn in 7th house gives karmic marriage which runs on duty not romance. If Saturn and Mars combine in Navamsha, it creates continuous arguments. If Saturn and Rahu combine in D-9, it gives separation tendencies or living like strangers.

When Mars, Rahu and Saturn combine together in 7th house or aspect 7th lord, the marriage becomes battlefield of ego (Mars), illusion (Rahu) and suffering (Saturn). If this combination happens in dusthana houses (6th, 8th, 12th) the problem becomes more serious. Dasha of these planets activates the result strongly. Transit of Saturn over natal Venus or 7th lord also triggers distance.

But one important rule is – strength of Jupiter and Venus can protect marriage. If benefics aspect 7th house in Navamsha, even malefic influence reduces. So final judgement must always include D-1, D-9, dasha and transit together.

Thus Mars gives anger, Rahu gives confusion, and Saturn gives delay and dryness. Their placement by house, rashi and Navamsha decides whether marriage becomes karmic test or stable commitment. Astrology never says marriage will surely fail; it only shows where maturity, patience and remedies are required.

Worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi together, Recite Vishnu Sahasranama, Keep fast on Ekadashi, Strengthen Venus by keeping cleanliness and fragrance in bedroom, Never insult spouse in public (very important karmic rule).

If benefic planets like Jupiter aspect 7th house in Lagna or Navamsha, even malefic planets reduce harm. So remedies should always focus on strengthening benefics rather than only pacifying malefics.

Marriage problems shown by Mars are anger based.
Problems from Rahu are illusion based.
Problems from Saturn are karma based.

Remedy means correcting anger, removing illusion and accepting karma with maturity.
