Who is Sachin Tendulkar? Greatest batsman of all time- right? Does that mean Sachin Tendulkar didn’t know how to bowl or he didn’t perform well with the ball?? Absolutely not. So this means that even though a particular object can be used for many purposes there might be one single thing that signifies the object at its fullest or in another way we can say among many other qualities, one particular quality defines a matter in a most prominent way and holds heavier significance than others.
The same goes for the Navamsh, as in the current course lecture and youtube webinars we are discussing Navamsh for Marriage and Dharma, No marriage, Good marriage, and Bad marriage, there are people who are saying/commenting why to give too much importance to marriage only, for Navamsh.
Does Navamsa not say other things like past karmas, bhagya, your appearance, fruits of karma, ayu, and so on? Yes, it is obvious that Navamsh can tell so many things but among all the things the most prominent and crucial things are Spouse and Marriage. For a worldly person, the quality of marriage shows the quality of Dharma followed in the past life as well as in this life.
That is why even the Maharishi Parashara when he wanted to use only one word to describe Navamsha, he used only the word marriage or wife. He assumes that one who is in the field of this Mahavidya will at least have that level of intelligence to understand that when we talk about marriage with this only all the other things will be covered for a Sangsari( a common person). Like one’s attitude towards dharma, how the person will obey his dharma, how much dignity and morality that person will maintain, how much fortune and luck a person can obtain and how much backup of good karmas are there, all these can be mapped by the quality of marriage of a common worldly person.
That is why we can see in BPHS in the Chapter “अथ वर्गविवेकाध्यायः,” which describes the Divisional consideration with only one word for each divisional chart, Maharishi Parashar is taking the word, quote-unquote ” नवमांशे कलत्राणां”.
Maharishi thinks this could be the best possible and most eminent description to give to Navamsh in one word to make common worldly people understand.
The Navamsh is the division of the 9th house, the house of past and dharma. The Lagna of Navamsh shows the karmic imprint of how we followed dharma and maintained morality in past life, the Navamsh lagna lord will show how that will manifest in this life. That is why the lagna and lagna lord of Navansh are very important in our lives.
