Any event that is happening in your life is a result of a Past Karma. Manusmriti States that the primary reason for birth is due to our own desires. When any desire is formed, we take certain actions be it good or bad which results in the generation of Karmas. Due to the same Karmas , it will eventually effect other people as well as once you are able to complete that desire , then another desire will formed and the cycle will repeat.
