Jupiter wherever placed in the Chart will determine that type of Guidelines you follow in life – and depending on the benefic/malefic influence you will either follow them or break promises during its Dasha.
What I have observed personally is that whenever there is a Transition from the Dasha of Rahu to Jupiter – most of the times the person gets into a situation in which it will be similar to that of falling from the sky onto reality. In Rahu Dasha you end up doing all sorts of things which you had not even though in your dreams – then from the chaotic nature of Rahu Maharaj now you need to bring calmness and follow guidelines and start going into spirituality or be with your Kids(Jupiter).
Naturally if we start from Ketu , one will reach Jupiter’s Dasha at the age of 68 upto the age of 84 and in this age one is usually well settled and in mode of delving into spiritual knowledge and Travelling ( Sagittarius ) or into rest ( Pisces ) and usually gets support of their Vansh. Depending on the condition of Jupiter you will be either getting into serious health issues or lead a peaceful life.
Jaimini Sutram states that the Atmakaraka in Sagittarius Navansh gives accident and fall from height but it has a much deeper meaning.
If you read the Sanskrit Sutra from the Upadesha Sutras – you will realize that the mention of Vehicles is also present in the same Sutra.
The mention of Accidents from Vehicles is Symbolic – Any Vehicle is supposed to take you from one destination to another through Travel. In this instance it shows that one will get the test of Morality and following guidelines or fulfilling the promises that you have given to others and taking care of elders. People with Debilated Jupiter learn whom to Trust through hard experiences and eventually become very strict whereas an Extalted Jupiter gets everything in life through the blessings of their Ancestors.
This sign is very difficult to go through as you need to far War like situations in its Dasha and if afflicted – most of the time this results in chronic illnesses which has no medical cure.
See the Body part of Jupiter – The backbone of the Body (Spine). Any injury to the spine is difficult to cure or not curable at all and the pain usually stays for a very long time – the Spine of the Human Body is what holds the Body in its upright position – otherwise the body will crumble and fall to the ground.
If you check the charts of people have Gone to War , Gave Knowledge to the Masses , Created Guidelines in society , Introduced better Laws – all of them will have a Prominent Sagittarius/Jupiter or Jupiter has the Atmakaraka.

Several times I have seen that a person ends up taking wrong actions in the Dasha of Jupiter especially non-ethical or immoral – such as Venus in Sagittarius with malefics the person will cheat after marriage. Mars in Sagittarius will show using rituals for wrong purposes or acquiring land illegally.
On the positive note is there are no afflictions you can expect immense knowledge , and happiness from kids and peace in your life in
 which you can be silent around you and only observe what is happening. Jupiter’s knowledge has the ability give you the Internal peace and happiness that you will not require anyone else in your life – Your mind will become calm and stable and silence will flow within you.
This is the sign opposite to the sign of Noise – Gemini : As the Student asks questions , the teacher keeps silence and only says what is required.
As Jaimini Rishi says about the Accidents from Vehicles and Fall from Height – this can also show extreme rise in life if one is able to follow their Moral Beliefs and Guidelines.
When looking at the chart you need to see the energy flow and resistance of Jupiter as there needs to be other planets which support or oppose Jupiter’s agenda – such as Jupiter Mars will give you test to acquire land of Guru in immoral grounds but you need to avoid it and stake stand for what is right. In this case if your Moon goes 6th from Jupiter then you will end up taking wrong decisions or will not be able to even follow your self-made promises.
Several times I have also observed that Prominent Sagittarius , Jupiter natives will be involved in Profession where one gets involved with the Masses either through Medical , Teaching or Law as now due to the Native the life of several people will get affected negatively or positively depending on the combination. Even for getting into Aviation you need Jupiter connected to the Airy signs as it is the only planet which can take you to the Height.
