Trishamsa chart D30

Trishamsa Explained: The Hidden Source of Suffering in a Horoscope

In Vedic astrology, there are many divisional charts, and each of them represents different areas of life. For example, D1 is the whole movie of your life. D9 represents fortune, marriage, and luck, and D10 represents career. Similarly, there is D30, which is called Trishamsa. Trishamsa shows struggle—where you will face struggle in life. This chart also indicates what kind of problems you may face and what type of issues may arise. Such combinations are mainly seen from the D30 chart.

When we talk about problems, there are three types.

  • One type of problem comes purely due to luck.
  • The second type of problem may come due to luck or may be self-created, but it can be prevented.
  • The third type of problem comes because of one’s own wrongdoings.

Technique 1– In the D30 chart, when the Lagna makes a connection with the 6th or 8th house, such problems usually come because of one’s own wrongdoing. Specifically, if the Lagna lord goes to the 6th house, the person faces major troubles in life due to their own actions. The 6th house shows where you are putting your hard work, but it also represents suffering and struggle.

The 8th house represents mistakes that are done naively or unknowingly, and those kinds of problems are seen from the 8th house of Trishamsa. When Trishamsa connects with the 6th or 8th house, the problems are usually self-created, and these are the problems that can always be prevented once the nature of the issue is identified.

For example, let’s say the Trishamsa Lagna lord is Venus and it goes to the 6th house. Then the problems can be related to finances, marriage, or partners. If D1 and D9 show a bad marriage, then it means problems in life will come through the partner or marriage. If D1 and D9 indicate financial problems, then the issue may arise due to one’s own wrongdoing, such as trying to make money in the wrong way or taking risky financial adventures. These situations usually occur when the Lagna makes a connection with the 6th house of the D30 chart.

If the Lagna connects with Jupiter, then problems can come related to children. Even if the Trishamsa Lagna lord is not connected to the 6th, 8th, or 12th house, if the Lagna itself is connected with Jupiter, problems related to children can still be seen, such as weak liver, because Jupiter represents the liver. Sometimes the Lagna lord Mercury can also give problems related to children. However, Mercurian problems usually make a person struggle very hard. If the Trishamsa Lagna is Mercury, it can give litigation and legal matters, where the person has to go to court multiple times. If the issue is related to children, then the person may have to work extremely hard for the children. All these things are clearly visible in the Trishamsa chart.

Any planet that connects with the Lagna or the Lagna lord shows the area of life where the person will face problems. When the Lagna lord is in a special position, such as Shukra getting exalted as the Trishamsa Lagna lord, there are strong chances that the problem may not get sorted easily, and the person may have to endure it. When the Lagna lord is not in a special position, the problems can be prevented or reduced by remedies, especially by donating items related to the planet that is creating the conflict. For example, if the problem is related to legal or paperwork issues coming from Mercury, donating Mercury-related items on Wednesday can help. If Shukra is placed in an enemy sign, it is actually better, because the planet becomes weaker. However, if the Trishamsa Lagna lord becomes exalted, major problems tend to occur in life.

Example chart 1

For example, in one chart, the Trishamsa Lagna lord is Saturn and it is exalted. This indicates that the person faced very major problems related to career. The person had to go through litigation and severe professional challenges. Since Saturn in Libra indicates status, a fall of status is also clearly visible. Because the planet is exalted, the struggle becomes intense and long-lasting.

Example 2

In another chart, the Trishamsa Lagna lord is Shukra, indicating major problems coming from partner or marriage. This person lost her husband within three years of marriage, married a second time, and also faced financial problems. Shukra also represents relationships and family members, and after her first marriage, she broke relationships with her family because they did not accept her partner.

Trishamsa is not a chart where strong or exalted planets are considered beneficial, especially as the Lagna lord. Trishamsa Lagna itself indicates misfortune, and when the Lagna lord is weak, life tends to move more smoothly. When the Lagna lord is strong or exalted, the struggles become much heavier.

Technique 2 one important technique is to observe the sign in which the Trishamsa Lagna lord goes.

Technique 3 – Another technique is to use Karakas along with the Trishamsa Lagna lord

Example -3

In this chart, the Trishamsa Lagna is Mercury and it goes into Taurus. Taurus generally represents the 5th house of the D1 chart for this person. This technique shows that whichever sign the Trishamsa Lagna lord occupies, problems can arise related to the house that sign represents in the D1 chart.

Another technique is to use Karakas along with the Trishamsa Lagna lord. In this chart, Mercury is the Trishamsa Lagna lord and is also the Putra Karaka. The person has an autistic child and faces significant struggles in life because of this. This clearly shows how Trishamsa works when the Lagna lord and Karaka overlap.

Example -4

In another combined example, the Trishamsa Lagna lord is placed in the 6th house, indicating self-created problems. In the D1 chart, the Jupiter is in 8th house and is also the Darakaraka, showing that the first major problem comes through marriage. The person went through a divorce. Additionally, Jupiter placed in the 8th house of D1 gives drinking addiction, and since Jupiter represents the liver, the person later suffered from liver cirrhosis due to over drinking.

  1. very diffrent topic very nicely explained…can u explain neechbhang types in separate article i dont understand this neechbhang concept

  2. i have exalted jup in d30 as lagan lord in 10h but with saturn and mandi… does it minimise the struggle..? any remedy for exalted..d30 lagan lord?

    1. Then emotional troubles will be there, that is the core problems, donation of jupitarian items, spending time in temple would be good.

  3. if there are multiple debiliated planets in D30 lagan but lagan lord gets exalted with its inimical planet then..? eg su mo mar in pisces lagan with jup exalted in 10h with sat md…? how to infer

    1. Since Jupiter is Karaka of peace, if it becoming strong, then peace of mind would go away. Trust issues would also be there as jupiter is the karaka of trust. wherever jupiter would be sitting in D1, problems related to that house would come mainly,

Thank you for the article 🙏
Happy to know that my debilated saturn has saved me🤗 in D30. Capricorn rising in D30 with moon however. How is that different from what you have discussed here?

    1. Its good to have a debliated Lagna lord in D30, life generally goes smoothly, with moon, it can give some troubles in the life of your mother, like lot of physical burden or emotional burden, and for you it could give you some overthinking habits.

  8. I have one chart d1 libra lagna 3 house Sagittarius saturn retro , In d30 chart Sagittarius rising Jupiter – pitra karka , saturn retro matrya karka and sun in lagna – putra karka
Is this correct Sun (Putra Karaka) and Saturn (Matri Karaka) are also in Lagna, the very core of suffering touches children/intelligence (Sun), mother/emotional base (Saturn), and one’s overall hope and ethics (Jupiter). So the person’s basic experience of life’s hardships is tied to family foundations, parents, and how they raise or relate to children.

  9. Very informative. I am leo ascendant and in D30 libra Rising and In D 30 i have Jupiter is in libra and venus is in virgo ( got debli) but I have Mercury saturn also sitting with venus.
